RHA Concrete can provide a number of solutions depending on your requirements.
Exposed Aggregate
Exposed Aggregate consists of mix of sand, cement, water and aggregate or stone. The amount of compositions required during the mixing phase has to meet the specific needs of the project. Once compositions are mixed and ready, the cement mix will be poured and allowed to set. The spray retarder will then be applied to the cement which allows for the concrete under the surface to harden and dry, but not the surface. With the use of the water hose and broom, we wash it and scrub off the surface and by doing so we expose the internal aggregates. Hence, the the term ‘exposed aggregates’.
Slate Impression
Slate Impressions Concrete are achieved during the stamping stage which is then followed by the slate textured mats being pressed down with the chosen slate pattern look into the ready mixed concrete during the plastic stage of the concrete setting. Once those processes has been complete, the slate impression concrete is then pressure washed, the crack control joints are cut and to strengthen the structural of the concrete and give it that natural aesthetic look, we apply two coats of concrete sealer. Slate Impression concreting is the best solution if you’re renovating any large areas due to it’s low maintenance and price.
Stencil Concrete
The process of Stencil Concrete is where patterns can be created in freshly poured concrete or to an existing concrete installation by applying concrete overlay. In order to stencil concrete, a stencil is carefully applied to poured concrete or an overlay. The ‘mortar’ of the pattern are created by the solid parts of the stencil, with the stencil being pressed into the concrete with the use of a roller which creates a raised pattern. The stencil can be removed once the concrete is dry and finishing touches can be applied to the surface to seal the concrete and give it the aesthetic texture and appearance.
